Meditation is a mental discipline found in different belief systems and cultures that involves regulating one's attention in order to achieve a quiet and restful yet highly alert level of consciousness. Meditation techniques vary in many ways, but one key distinction depends on the "object" upon which one directs one's attention. These objects can include the breath; one's thoughts, feelings and sensations; a concept; a flame; a mantra; a sound; and many others. The regular practice of meditation develops calmness, clarity and concentration while reducing anxiety and stress. White Space Wellness offers a number of meditation classes and retreats with schedules posted monthly. No previous experience is required to participate in a meditation class.
Angel-guided meditation involves connecting with the various archangels who govern specific aspects or dimensions of human life. The meditations focus on restoring and strengthening participants' natural ability to receive guidance and support from the archangels, allowing practitioners to live their lives with more ease, grace, joy and power. Currently, these classes are offered only as private sessions.
Chakra-based meditation involves focusing progressively on the "chakras"—the seven major energy points located along the central meridian of the body. The chakras govern specific aspects of our lives and collectively determine our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. The meditations help activate, energize, cleanse and clear the chakras by removing blocks caused by physical, mental, emotional and spiritual traumas, allowing practitioners to feel more balanced, tranquil and whole. Our chakra-based meditations are held on Wednesdays from 8:15 to 9:00 pm.
Full Moon Meditation
Full moon meditation focuses on helping practitioners find balance, clarity and serenity in the midst of the intense energies unleashed during the periods of the full moon. With proper centering and grounding, practitioners can make best use of the opportunity the full moon presents for bringing projects and situations to culmination and fruition. Full moon meditation also includes the beautiful practice of metta or loving kindness meditation. Our full moon meditations are held once a month on the Friday closest to the actual date of the full moon from 8:15 to 9:00 pm.
Movement meditation involves deliberately cultivating an expanded state of consciousness with the aid of music and movement. The practice has healed scores of people around the world and its benefits include calming the mind and increasing awareness to healing emotional and physical ailments and providing catharsis and release. Currently, these classes are offered only as private sessions.
New Moon Meditation
New moon meditation focuses on helping practitioners remember, reconnect with and revitalize their heart's deepest desires. With proper nurturing and seeding, practitioners can make best use of the opportunity the new moon presents for manifesting intentions and realizing visions. Our new moon meditations are held once a month on the Friday closest to the actual date of the new moon from 8:15 to 9:00 pm.
